I read somewhere today that some experts were hopeful the Coronavirus spread would slow down as spring turns to summer and it gets hotter and more humid. No way to know until it happens, the experts said.
A few minutes later, I come across an article like this about how the Coronavirus is out of control, that coffins are literally piling up in the streets, in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
I’ve been to Guayaquil, which sits at sea level pretty much right on the Equator, so I can tell you from personal experience that there are few places on earth that are any hotter or more humid.
Check out the WHO situation reports, and you’ll see that the virus is spreading rapidly in many tropical countries.
So one can hope the virus acts different round here, but don’t get your hopes up.
